(Thanks Heather for the idea!)
Memory Lane
Here are the directions:
1. As a comment on my blog, leave one memory that you and I had together. It doesn't matter if you know me a little or a lot, anything you remember!
2. Next, re-post these instructions on your blog and see how many people leave a memory about you. It's actually pretty funny to see the responses. If you leave a memory about me, I'll assume you're playing the game and I'll come to your blog and leave one about you. If you don't want to play on your blog, or if you don't have a blog, I'll leave my memory of you in my comments.
So let's have it! Don't be shy! What do you remember? Anything funny, embarrassing, silly...

I totally remember a lesson you gave in Relief Society one Sunday almost 6 years ago. It was about not judging others/ourselves harshly and accepting each other. It seriously changed the way I thought about the topic. I feel like you were a perfect person to give the lesson since you are a very compassionate, embracing kind of person.
I remember freshman year at BYU, all the girls had pics of "hot guys" on their walls. Not you, you had collages of babies! SOOO Sally!
I remember when you helped to give me a perm our freshman year. You may have also cut my hair---SOOOO funny all the things we did back then.
More recently, I enjoyed having our BYU reunion and all going skinny dipping.
I will never forget how thoughtful you were in volunteering to help with the food for camp. You truly have a giving and serving heart!
I guess I dont have a lot of memories that stand out, but I did really enjoy walking home with you from the couponing class and just talking and getting to know you better. And while its not really a memory my first impression of you was that you had a beautiful smile.
not just one, but quite a few times we got together when we lived in provo (right before i left for california) and we would spend all day together while the kids played and we did something creative or just talked and laughed. i miss those days. sigh
At Grandpa's funeral I rode with you and your kids from church to cemetery. Your kids were all rowdy in the back, and you and I chatted up front. After I told you how I had been living with my bf for a year, you so blantantly asked, "well why dont you just get married then". And we had a very frank talk about the realities of marriage and relationships, etc. I was impressed with your truthful language, as I too don't believe in BSing or sweet talking people.
On a side note, thank you high heaven I didn't marry that guy. Ha!
Okay, my first memory of you was getting the flyer for your preschool and calling you up to get more info. We spent a few minutes trying to figure out if we had seen each other at church yet, but decided we hadn't. You still are referred to as "sweetie" in our house.
I remember idolizing you. Not having a big sister you were kind of like my big sister. I wanted to do everything you did. I played the flute because you did.
One distinct memory though - the moose poo necklace. I think I mentioned it before. You were in one of the houses in South Orange and you had a big room with bunk beds. I was sleeping over and you had this necklace over your bed post. The necklace was made of these silver bead like balls. I remember asking you what it was and you told me moose poo, and at the time, I believed you!
Wow! Just one? I remember driving you around to do errands right after you had your seizure. We only had 4 kids between us back then! It seems like a million years ago!
i have to many i cant just pick one, but i have tonz of fun memories when savannah was little and Reed and I were just newlyweds. You guys were living with your parents and we did soooo much together. there was a lot of laughing. that is when i knew we would be more then family we would be friends!
I agree with Heidi, there are too many memories, so much fun, so much laughing. I remember when you were living with your parents and Matt and I were up to celebrate halloween with you. It was Savannah's First Halloween and she was sick, you and I went out to ugent care. I knew you were such a good mommy (wow that was 10 years ago) I also remember when you and I went to Heber together and I told you we were expecting! You were so funny, because I think you were more excited about it then I was :)Oh, I miss you! This was fun.
I remember before you and Tom were married we were all going to... somewhere (maybe Snow Canyon?), anyway, Tom wanted to ride with Reed so he could spend some time alone with him before Reed went into the MTC. So I rode with you in your little ford escort (remember that thing!) and we had such a good time. I hardly knew you then, but there was never an awkward moment between us... until you started kissing me, that was a little weird.
Matt!!! You just made me gasp out loud!! Those were good times! :)
To those of you who have not posted the memory lane on your blogs, I will respond here...
anne marie- I remember at wyview that you told me you make your family a hot breakfast every morning! I was so baffled and impressed!! You are such a good mama!
Vanessa-I love how you make me laugh until I cry, I have fond memories of the "porch" and "cornwagon". Thanks for getting me into sewing & stitching!
Corinne-that's a funny story, I forgot about that! I'm so glad I have gotten to know you better through blogs!
Miss Jen-you were SUCH an angel to me after my seizure, those were dark times but you were such a light to me! I will always treasure my 30th b-day scavenger hunt, girls' nights, walking at 6am...there are lots of memories!
I remember meeting you for the first time and we talked about what a nightmare building these houses had been. You were still in the midst of all kinds of craziness having to do with your house, and I couldn't believe that even with all of that going on, you still seemed like one of the happiest, most upbeat people I'd ever met! I still think you are a truly sweet person and always love seeing the smile on your face. I think no matter what, you are the type of person that looks on the bright side. That's amazing to me.
Oh, what a fun game, I'm gonna do this on my blog!!
I remember the very first time I met you. You came over to my apartment at Wyview with Virgina Faber and Kate Solomon. I was nervous about being in a new place but you three were so comforting. You said to me, "Welcome to our ward family." I felt so much better! I also remember watchinf you as a mom acrodd the street. You were so dedicated to your kids and were always doing fun things with them. You were such a great RS Pres! What fun memories!
Three words for my favorite college partner in crime...
Heater Vent Hussy. :)
Love ya Sal!
My favorite memory is driving with you to Oregon with you for Ali and Dan's wedding. Alot of talking can happen in a 15 hour car ride! Somehow you made that trip fast and fun. Love to you.
Mindy!!! LOL!!! Hey, I learn from the best! Remember going to Rifle with 2 boys, and sleeping up at the "Y", oh my gosh!!!! sigh, you live too far away!
Autumn, I remember the first Christmas you spent with us and you put us all to shame with how excited you were over every gift you got! You know how to open presents! So fun! You have the best laugh, I love it!!! I'm so glad my brother found you! :)
I remember the first time I met you in the PerfectPractice parking lot. You and Tim were going to lunch and I was walking to Target and you drove up to me to say "hi". I thought wow his sister is cute and nice. Then Tim told me you said "what's she doing dating you?" hee hee, that made me laugh.
Thanks Angie! I remember thinking Tim was lucky to have you! He used to complain about girls' weight and I'd say,"Um excuse me?! Have you looked in the mirror lately!?" Stupid double standard! (But you know I love my brother to death!) Remember..."the Cannons HAVE to leave now!" HaHa! I love you!
Thanks for remembering my "worst" moment. I still feel bad about that. SORRY!
Don't feel bad! I don't! It's funny, and what I love about you, always honest, not fake! You are awesome! :)
